Jermareo Davidson signed by Antalya BSB

Jermareo DavidsonJermareo Davidson (208 cm, Alabama’07) has been signed by Antalya BSB (Turkey-TBL) for the remainder of the season. He spent the 2011-12 in the colors of the Fraport Skyliners (German-BBL), where he averaged 12.5.ppg and 8.2rpg in 6 Eurocup games; 12.8ppg and 6.3rpg in 26 German BBL games. Davidson played for the University of Alabama in the Southeastern Conference from 2003-04 season through the 2006-07 season, putting together career scoring average of 10.1ppg, with his last two seasons being 14.3 and 14.0 points per game. He also ended his career at Alabama with a 7.3 rebounds per game average. His first three seasons the Crimson Tide participated in the NCAA tournament, getting to the Regional Finals in 2004 only to be beaten by UConn, who ultimately went on to win the NCAA National Title. Davidson was drafted in the 2nd round (36th pick overall) of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors and was immediately traded to the Charlotte Bobcats with Jason Richardson for Brandan Wright. He played the 2008-09 season with Charlotte, averaging 3.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game on 38 games, then was released. Golden State picked him up on two 10-day contracts, in January, 2009, then signed him for the rest of the season, but released him at the end of the year. He also spent time with two NBA D-League teams, the Sioux Falls Skyforce and the Idaho Stampede, compiling a 15.9ppg and 10.3rpg average over 51 games.
