Jermaine Beal signs with Perth Wildcats

Australia’s Perth Wildcats (NBL) have added Jermaine Beal (191 cm, Vanderbilt’10) for the 2013-14 season. Beal spent the 2012-13 season playing in Brazil’s NBB for Minas. The 25-year old Dallas native played in 37 games in the Brazilian league where he was able to put averages of 16.7 ppg and 2.6 rpg. He was effective from long range as he shot at a respectable 40.1% from downtown, making him regarded as one of the better imports in the league that year.

In 2011-12 he played for VOO Verviers-Pepinster from Belgium’s D1 league. In 29 games Beal averaged 11.5 ppg and 2.1 rpg.
