More than anything, we know that Basketball is not only a U.S. sport anymore.
Jefferson Sobral, another Brazilian, might be making his mark in the NBA. Forward Jefferson Sobral (203 cm, 1980), who plays with Mackenzie, a team from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, has traveled to the United States to try out for the Washington Wizards.
He is a wing and has made up part of the Harlem Globetrotters and made it to the semi-finals of the NBB in Brazil. He has never played in the NBA officially but he did play in friendly matches with the Lakers, substituting for none other than Kobe Bryant.
