Jason Smith to play for KFI

Jason Smith (183 cm, Alabama-Huntsville’07) is headed to Iceland to play for KFI (Dominos League) this 2013-14. The 29-year-old Smith will be the team’s first import signed by the team for the upcoming season. He played the 2012-13 season for CAB Madeira from Portugal’s LPB. He played 25 games in the Portuguese league and averaged 16.1 ppg and 5.3 apg. He helped his team reach as far as the semifinals in the Portuguese league this 2013.

In 2011-12 Smith played for SG Schwelmer Baskets from Germany’s ProB league. He logged 22 games for the club and averaged 19.5 ppg and 4.1 apg.
