James Florence heads to Szolnoki

James Florence (185 cm, Mercer ’10) has left Kryvbasbasket-Lux Kryvyi Rih (Ukraine-Superleague) and has joined Szolnoki Olag KK (Hungary-Division A) according to his agency. With Kryvbasbasket in 2012-13, he suited up in 25 games and averaged 15.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. Florence also played for the Ukrainian club in 2011-12, averaging 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists (ranked 5th in the Superleague), and 1.9 steals (ranked 1st). In 2010-11 he signed his first professional contract out of college with BC Igokea Aleksandrovac (Bosnia-D1) and played in two leagues: in the Adriatic League he averages 6.2 points per game in 15 games; and in the Bosnian League he averaged 6.0 points per game in 13 games. Florence played four years of collegiate ball at Mercer, averaging 19.2 points per game over his four year career, including 20.8 per game his junior season.
