Ian Vougioukas signs with Zalgiris

B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL) has landed Ian Vougioukas (212 cm, St. Louis’07) to reinforce their front court for the upcoming season. He was originally slated to play for AEK Athens (Greece-A1) this season. The 30-year-old veteran started off the 2014/15 season playing for Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul (Turkey-TBL). He appeared in nine Euroleague games for the Turkish club and averaged 2.4 ppg and 1.9 rpg. He encountered a setback when he dealt wit an injury. In February 2015 Ian moved to Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany-BBL) and there was able to play 18 games in the German league, posting averages of 13.2 ppg and 4.6 rpg.
