Greg Brunner inks deal with Virtus Roma

Greg Brunner (201 cm, Iowa’06) will be playing for Acea Virtus Roma from Italy’s SerieA this 2013-14 season. The American player also holds a Swiss passport thanks to his roots. His dual citizenship has allowed him to be a member of the Swiss National Team from 2010-2012.

Brunner played the 2012-13 season for Trenkwalder Reggio Emilia (Italy-SerieA) and in 36 games he averaged 10.8 ppg and 7.4 rpg. In 2011-12 he played for two other teams from SerieA. He started the season playing for Fabi Shoes Montegranaro and there he averaged 10.6 ppg and 7.6 rpg. He moved to Bennet Cantu in January 2012. He logged 22 games for Cantu and averaged 9.3 ppg and 6.0 rpg. He represented them in six Euroleague games and averaged 4.2 ppg and 2.5 rpg.
