Greer Wright signs in Lithuania

Greer WrightGreer Wright (201 cm, Binghamton’11) has signed in Lithuania with LKL team Naglis Palangos. That team is currently in the last place of the LKL with a 0-11 record.

Wright was an All-AEC 1st Team selection in college both in 2010 and 2011. Last year he signed his first professional contract with BC Astana, a team from Kazakshtan that participates in the VTB United league together with teams from several other former Soviet Republics. However, Greer Wright left BC Astana after only two games.

He made his debut tonight for his new team Naglis Palangos, playing 15 minutes while scoring 4 points and grabbing 5 rebounds in his team’s 85-99 loss to undefeated LKL leader Rudupis (11-0 record).

    I always admired that we don’t have names and surnames separation and tradition in Anglo-Sason culture. You can have Greer both as a given name and family name. John Lennon-Elton John, Boy George-George Karl-Karl Malone. George Michael-Michael Jackson.
