George Blakeney to Wuber Estud. Bahia

George Blakeney (206 cm, UNC Pembroke’13) is set to begin his professional career in Argentina this 2013-14. He has been picked up by Wuber Estudiantes de Bahia Blanca (LigaA). The 22-year-old big man from Virginia will get tested from the get-go.

In his senior year at University of North Carolina-Pembroke, George averaged 14.7 ppg and 9.9 rpg in 32 games, helping his team reach the PeachBelt Tournament Semifinals in 2013. Blakeney was named to the All-PeachBelt 1st Team and to the NABC II All-Southeast Region 2nd Team that year.
