Gallinari set for 2014/15 NBA Return

Gallinari

Danilo Gallinari (208 cm) finally took to the hardwood during the Denver Nuggets’ preseason game against the Phoenix Suns after missing a year and a half of action after he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee. The 26-year-old Italian forward played just 14 minutes for the Nuggets, but displayed some encouraging form. He scored 17 points and grabbed four rebounds before being rested by coach Brian Shaw. During the 2012-13 season Gallinari was able to play 71 games for Denver and he averaged 16.2 ppg and 5.2 rpg. When he was healthy, Danilo was an integral part of the team’s offense. His encouraging recovery and eventual return to form is something that will provide a boost both to the team’s production and morale.
