FIBA 3×3 World Tour concludes in Miami this week

FIBA 3x312 of the best 3×3 squads in the world are heading to Miami, FL for the finale of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour competition. On Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21 and 22, the teams representing cities from around the world, will square off in a competition that will divide the teams into two pools that will first go through round-robin pool play. On Sunday, Sept. 23, the top three teams in each pool will move to the quarter-finals where the second and third place teams in each pool will play and the winners of those games will play the top team in each pool in the semi-finals.

The competition will be held on Miami’s South Beach off Collins Park, starting at 16:40 EST and will run through the final game at 21:00. Sunday’s quarter-finals will start at 15:30, with the finals at 20:20.

Teams competing earned their trip to Miami via five regional competitions that were held in Sao Paulo, Vladivostok, New York, Istanbul and Madrid.

In addition to the 3×3 competition, spectators will have the opportunity to watch the Samsung Shoot-Out, the Nike Dunk Contest, music, DJs and a number of entertainment activities.

    3×3 is an abomination of the sport. Naismith turns in his grave as we speak (take note Olympic committee)..
