Dragan Sakota to coach AEK Athens

AEK Athens (Greece-A1) has found a new head coach. They have agreed to terms with Serbian strategist Dragan Sakota and have signed him through 2016. The 62-year-old veteran and former head coach of the Yugoslavian national team has had previously coached in Greece in the early 2000s. Sakota coached AEK Athens from 2001-03. His last coaching stint was for Antalya Buyuksehir Belediye (Turkey-TBL) during the 2011-12 season. He guided Trabzonspor Basketbol (Turkey-TBL) to the Turkish Cup semifinals in 2011. During his long career as a head coach, Dragan has made stops in Italy and his home Serbia as well.
