Dion Dowell from Germany to Hapoel Eilat

American Small Forward Dion Dowell (200 cm, Houston’07) is moving from the Frankfurt Fraport Skyliners to Hapoel Eilat. Dion Dowell played a total of 19 games in the German BBL and averaged 8.7 ppg and 3.7 rpg for Frankfurt. Frankfurt is currently ranked 16th (of 18) in the BBL standings and management as well as the player agreed that changes were necessary.

Dion Dowell averaged 10.9 ppg and 6.8 rpg his senior year at the University of Houston and has since played four professional seasons in Israel. Dowell thanked the fans and Fraport Skyliners organization but in some ways has to feel he is returning “home” to Israel. Dion Dowell is expected to arrive in Israel this week and join the team as soon as possible.
