Dexter Pittman inks with Humacao

Former Miami Heat big man Dexter Pittman (208 cm, Texas’10) is set to make his debut in Puerto Rico’s BSN for Caciques de Humacao. Dexter won an NBA title with the Heat in 2011-12. Pittman began the 2013-14 season on the roster of Chicago Bulls and was released by the team in October. He found a new home in China, playing for the Foshan Long Lions (China-CBA). His stint with the Chinese team was brief one, staying for just seven games. During his run he averaged 12.7 ppg and 3.1 rpg.

The Texas grad was called up by the Atlanta Hawks in February 2014. He managed to play in just two games, failing to score and averaged 1.5 rpg. Pittman moved to the D-League where he signed with the Austin Toros. He played 27 games for them and averaged 11.2 ppg and 6.8 rpg.
