DeShawn Painter leaves Sopot

DeShawn Painter (206 cm, ODU’13) has had his time with Trefl Sopot (Poland, TBL) brought to an end after the club decided to release him. The big man has played five games so far this 2014/2015 season and notched numbers of just 4.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. Last season the American started the campaign with Spisska Nova Ves in the Slovakian Extraliga and over five games averaged impressively with 23.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.

Later DeShawn Painter moved to Austrian Bundesliga outfit WBC Raiffeisen Wels where he spent the term with averages of 7.1 points and 4.8 boards from thirty appearances. The center is two years out of North Carolina and is in his third season in the pro game.
