More than anything, we know that Basketball is not only a U.S. sport anymore.
In a recent post on Court Side Basketball News, it was reported that Denis Clemente (183 cm, Kansas State’10) was leaving Umana Reyer Venezia (Italy, Serie A). The Kansas State grad, who has roots in Puerto Rico, has now found a new team. He has signed to play for Caciques de Humacao from Puerto Rico’s BSN.
It has been rough sailing for Clemente in Italy. He bounced around three teams there in the 2012-13 season. Aside from Reyer Venezia, he also played for Nuovo Napoli Basket (Lega 2) and Victoria Libertas Pesaro (Serie A). Hopefully he will have better luck playing closer to home.
