Demond Watt moves to KR Reykjavik

Demond Watt

Demond Watt (200 cm, Texas A&M-CC’11) will continue his professional career playing in Iceland’s Dominos league for KR Reykjavik this 2014. The 24-year-old Chicago native began the 2012-13 season with the Gary Splash (USA-IBA). In January 2013 he moved to UU-Korhait Uusikaupunki from Finland’s Korisliiga. Watt managed to appear in 24 games for them that season and produced averages of 11.4 ppg and 8.8 rpg.

At this stage KR shares the lead in the Iceland Dominos league standings with Keflavik. Both teams have an identical 14-1 record. Demond is being brought in to strengthen the team’s frontcourt for a possibly deep post-season run.
