Darius Washington to Le Mans

darius washingtonDarius Washington (188 cm, Memphis’06) is headed to France via a buyout of his contract with Hapoel Eilat (Israel-Winner League) by Le Mans Sarthe Basket (Pro A). Washington, an American who also bears a Macedonian passport,  signed with Hapoel Eilat in January 2013 and played six games for them. In that span he averaged 11.0 ppg and 1.3 apg.

This well-travelled veteran of international basketball played for the Pirates de Quebradillas from Puerto Rico’s BSN in 2012. There he played 10 games and averaged 13.3 ppg and 3.4 apg. Before that stint, he started the 2011-12 season playing in Turkey’s TBL for Turk Telekom Ankara. He played four games for them in the EuroChallenge and averaged 22.0 ppg and 4.0 apg. He also played 22 games in the TBL for Turk Telekom and 16.6 ppg and 4.4 apg.
