Daniel Ewing signs with Besiktas

Daniel EwingDaniel Ewing (191cm, Duke’05) has signed with Besiktas (Turkey-TBL) for the remainder of the season. Ewing suited up for Azovmash (Ukraine-Superleague) last season and averaged 13.0ppg in eight Eurocup games; 12.3ppg in 16 VTB League contests; and 12.2ppg in 43 Ukrainian Superleague games. Prior to that Ewing played for Asseco Prokom (Poland-PLK) for two seasons. He played four years with Duke and came out of his collegiate playing days with a career 11.6 points per game average, with 15.3ppg his senior year. While at Duke his squads competed in the NCAA tournament all four years, with the 2003-04 team getting beat in the National Semifinal to UConn. Ewing was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2005 NBA Draft. He played two seasons with the Clippers, averaging 3.4 points per game over 127 games before being released in 2007.
