Damir Markota moves to Istanbul B.B.

Damir Markota (209 cm) is taking is his talents to Turkey, signing with Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi (TBL) this 2014-15. He is a 29-year-old Swedish-Croatian player who has been a long-time member of the Croatian national team from 2002-09 and 2011-14. Damir is coming from KK Cibona VIP Zagreb (Croatia-A1). He has logged a dozen games for Cibona in the Adriatic league and was able to post averages of 12.8 ppg and 6.4 rpg.

In 2013-14 he played for Brose Baskets Bamberg (Germany-BBL) and in six Euroleague games produced averages of 4.2 ppg and 2.7 rpg. He also played 27 games in the German league and there Damir averaged 7.9 ppg and 4.3 rpg.
