Damir Markota joins Bilbao Basket anew

Spanish Liga Endesa team Bilbao Basket has added Damir Markota (209 cm) for the remainder of the 2013-14 season. Markota is a Croatian player who also holds a Swedish passport. He has been a member of the Croatian National Team from 2002-09 and 2011-13.

He started the season in Germany’s Bundesliga playing for Brose Baskets Bamberg. Damir played six games for Bamberg in the Euroleague and averaged 4.2 ppg and 2.7 rpg. He also logged nine games in the German league where he posted averages of 6.0 ppg and 5.7 rpg as a reserve.
