As the first half ebbed away, Moscow rallied to take a 45-41 lead into the long break.

After the halftime rest the players emerged and Malaga looked in better touch all over the court, scoring more consistently and shoring up in defence. The Spanish team secured 26 points through the frame while holding CSKA to 14 points, turning the game around to hold a convincing 59-67 lead after 30 minutes. The eight point gap was quickly attacked by some big CSKA Moscow plays at the start of the fourth quarter, drawing the Russian outfit to 64-67. Milos Teodosic was dictating the court as CSKA reclaimed the lead, before managing to hold on until the final buzzer.

Teodosic paced CSKA with 21 points, while Andrey Vorontsevich hit 15 points and Aaron Jackson 12.

Jayson Granger top scored for Malaga with 17 points and Kostas Vasiliadis collected 15 points.
