Cory Johnson pens with Monthey

BBC Monthey (Switzerland, LNA) added its second new American player of the week by bringing in Cory Johnson (200 cm, Valparaiso’11) to the team roster. He has been plying his trade with Lapuan Korikobrat in the Finnish Korisliiga and over two games he impressed with numbers of 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds. Earlier in the campaign the forward played for KTP Basket Kotka (Korisliiga) in one game, where he scored 16 points and pulled 6 rebounds off the glass.

Cory Johnson has played in Switzerland before, enjoying a stint with SAM Basket Massagno (LNA) where he featured in 25 games. The American finished the season as the second best scoring in the LNA with 20.3 points per game, while he also added 6.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per appearance.
