More than anything, we know that Basketball is not only a U.S. sport anymore.
Clay Tucker (196 cm, Wisc-Milwaukee’03) has signed a contract for the rest of the current season with Turkish side Hacettepe University. Tucker has not played a game this year but did start with Valencia (ACB, Spain) before being cut in pre-season. Tucker has enjoyed an illustrious career having played many a season for top Spanish, Italian, and Russian teams in their respective domestic leagues as well as several European competitions. Just last year Clay Tucker averaged 15.4 ppg and 3.1 apg for Lottomatica in the Italian SerieA.
Before his pro career Clay Tucker finished a great senior year at Wisconsin-Milwaukee averaging 18.3 ppg and 4.1 apg. This led to a PIT invite but not to an NBA job. Clay started his pro career in Sweden in 2003 and steadily worked his way up to the very top of European basketball.
