NEW YORK, Dec. 23, 2012 – The Dallas Mavericks today signed guard Chris Douglas-Roberts for the fifth GATORADE Call-Up of the 2012-13 NBA Development League season. Douglas-Roberts joins more than 100 NBA Players with NBA D-League experience currently on an NBA roster.

Douglas-Roberts (6-7, 210, Memphis) has appeared in 11 games for the Legends this season, averaging 22.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.9 steals and 38.5 minutes. He led Texas in scoring in nine of the 11 games he played in, including a season-high 31 points on Nov. 23 against the Tulsa 66ers. He led the team in assists in five contests.

A veteran of 155 NBA games, Douglas-Roberts owns NBA career averages of 7.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 20.6 minutes in three seasons with the then-New Jersey Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.

Selected by the Nets in the second round (40th overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft, Douglas-Roberts played in 109 career NCAA games for the Tigers, averaging 14.2 points and 3.7 rebounds.

Douglas-Roberts is expected to join the Mavericks tonight and be available on Sunday, Dec. 23 when the team travels to face the San Antonio Spurs.
