Chinemelu Elonu returns to Tofas

After establishing a relationship that has spanned almost two seasons Tofas Bursa (Turkey-TBL) will be bringing back Nigerian center Chinemelu Elonu this 2014-15 season. Elonu played for them in 2012-13 and most of 2013-14. He left the club in May 2014 to join CAI Zaragoza (Spain-Liga Endesa), where ended up just playing three games and averaged 7.0 ppg and 3.0 rpg.

In 2013-14 Elonu played six games for Tofas Bursa in the Eurochallenge and was able to produce averages of 16.2 ppg and 9.7 rpg. He also logged 31 games in the domestic Turkish TBL and there he posted averages of 12.1 ppg and 8.5 rpg. He will likely be reprising his role as the team’s starting center when the season begins.
