Chester Giles to play for Sitra

Chester Giles (211 cm, Oregon State’08) is heading back to the Bahrain Premier League to play for Sitra Club through this season. The American has played hoops in Bahrain so consistently through the years that he possesses a passport for the country. He has also played extensively in other Middle Eastern states such as Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. The power forward recently represented Bahrain in the Asian Championships and over two games he offered double-double stats of 12.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per game.

Chester Giles has featured in numerous countries since leaving Oregon State in 2008. The 29-year old has played in Iraq and the Philippines, while he also pulled on the jersey of the LA Lakers in the NBA for eleven games during the 2008/2009. He also did well for the franchise with averages of 12.5 points and 8.3 boards per game.
