Charles Thomas departs Lukoil Academic

Veteran journeyman Charles Thomas (203 cm, Arkansas’08) has left Bulgarian powerhouse BC Levski Sofia (NBL). The 28-year-old Thomas played six games for them during their run in the EuroChallenge and managed solid averages of 18.8 ppg and 7.0 rpg. He also logged 10 games in the domestic Bulgarian league and there was able to produce averages of 15.3 ppg and 5.1 rpg.

He began the 2013-14 season playing in the French Pro A league for Chorale de Roanne Basket. In five games he was able to average 9.4 ppg and 4.8 rpg. In December 2013 Thomas headed to Asia after signing a deal with Sagesse – Al Hekmeh Beirut from Lebanon’s Division A. He played 15 games for Sagesse and produced averages of 19.3 ppg 8.9 rpg.
