CEZ Nymburk adds veteran forward Tapoutos

Perennial Czech League champion CEZ Basketball Nymburk bolstered its frontline by signing veteran forward Christos Tapoutos, who will play outside of his native Greece for the first time. Tapoutos (2.01 meters, 29 years) brings vast experience in the form of three seasons in the Euroleague and four in the Eurocup. Last season he averaged 8.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in 10 Eurocup games for Aris BSA 2003 Thessaloniki. He posted 4 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in a loss at CEZ Nymburk in December of last season. Tapoutos has also played for Near East, Panionios, Iraklis, PAOK and AEK Athens in a professional career dating back to 1999. Among Tapoutos’s career highlights have been winning the 2002 Greek League with AEK Athens and a gold medal with the Greek national team at the 2002 European Under-20 Championships.
