Cashmere Wright departs AEK Athens

Cincinnati alum Cashmere Wright (183 cm, Cincinnati’13) departs Greek AEK Athens (A1). The 24-year-old Wright played four games for AEK and averaged 5.0 ppg and 2.3 rpg. During the 2013-14 season Cashmere Wright played for GasTerra Flames Groningen (The Netherlands-Eredivisie) and logged averages of 13.9 ppg and 3.2rpg. He also logged five games in EuroChallenge and there he was able to post averages of 11.0 ppg and 2.4 rpg. In his senior year at college, Wright averaged 12.7 ppg and 3.2 apg in 33 games. During the 2011-12 season the Savannah, Georgia native averaged 10.9 ppg and 4.6 apg in 37 games for Cincinnati. He helped his team reach the finals in the Big East Tournament in 2012 and because of his impressive work, Cashmere was named to the Big East All-Tournament team that year.
