Bogdan Bogdanovic wins Rising Star award

Bogdan Bogdanovic (198 cm) of BC Partizan NiS Beograd has won the Turkish Airlines Euroleague’s Rising Star award for the 2013-14 season. The 21-year-old Serbian player was the top performer among players below the age of 22. He is the second player from Partizan to win this award.

Bogdanovic shined this season as his role grew with the team as a starter, initially as a shooting guard then later transitioned to point guard mid-season. He averaged 14.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg and 3.7 apg in 23 games in Euroleague competition. He has shown much growth compared to last season’s averages of 5.0 ppg and 1.8 rpg in six games. He caught the attention of the NBA earlier this year and is definitely a player to watch due to his high upside. .
