Anthony Shavies makes return to Gussing

Anthony Shavies (191 cm, Missouri State’05) is returning to the team where he began his professional basketball career, Austria’s UBC Magnofit Gussing Knights. That was way back in 2005-06. Eight years later, eight years older and more experienced, Shavies is set to make his return this 2013-14 season.

Anthony played the 2012-13 season in Ukraine’s Superleague for MBC Mykolaiv. He logged 29 games for them and posted averages of 9.2 ppg, 4.7 apg and an impressive 1.9 spg to lead the league in that defensive stat. He helped his team reach the Ukrainian Cup semifinals in 2013.
