Alexander McLean joins Nift Al-Janoub

Alexander McLean (203 cm, Liberty’08) is headed to Iraq’s Division I to play for Nift Al-Janoub this 2013-14 season. The 27-year-old McLean played only one game in 2012-13. It was in Lebanon for Anibal Zahle (Division A). He tallied 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

In 2011 he played in China’s NBL for Jin Qiang Sichuan. There he was able to play nine games and averaged 22.4 ppg and 14.6 rpg. His team made it to the Chinese NBL semifinals in 2011.

In 2010-11 he began under contract to play in Egypt’s Superleague for Al Gezira, but in April 2011 moved to Al Gharrafah from Qatar’s D1.
