There was some serious action that took place in Round 11 of the 2015-16 regular season of the Adriatic League. League leader KK Budocnost Voli Podgorica continues its reign with a 76-86 win over BC Igokea. The Montenegrin team has been tearing it up in the early goings in the season so far and has a 9-2 record. The loss was a tough one for Igokea as it knocks them down to seventh place in the league with their 5-6 slate. Omar-Sharif Cook got hot from three-point range and finished with a game-high 22 points to lead Buducnost to victory.

Serbian club BC Partizan got a much needed win on Sunday against Tajfun Sentjur. It is highly possible that Partizan has turned a corner and is over its early-season struggles. Partizan still has a losing record at 4-7, but this game could be an indication that they are ready rack up some more wins down the road. It was a fantastic effort by the team as a whole. Kevin Jones led six white shirts to score in double figures with his 17 points. Partizan had to overcome an explosive 29-point game by Tajfun’s Sandi Cebular. This was the seventh loss for Tajfun and the team is in eighth place in the standings.

Mega Leks continues its strong run in the season with yet another win. They are secure as the fourth-placer in the league with their 8-3 record. They came up with a solid performance in the second half to snatch the win from the hands of Union Olimpija Ljubljana, 89-99. Danilo Nikolic was a dominant force for Mega Leks. He finished with a double-double, scoring 17 points and hauling 11 rebounds. He also nailed three treys in the game. Timothe Luwawu was Mega Leks’ top scorer for the game with 22 points. Sava Lesic led Union Olimpija with 21 points. Union Olimpija remains in tenth place and sport a 4-7 record.

Krka Novo Mesto came away with a close win over KK Cibona Zagreb. It was an exciting back-and-forth contest with both teams fight fiercely for the win. In the end it was Krka that had the more successful fourth quarter to come away with it, 90-86. The duo of Jure Lalic and Stefan Sinovec came up big for Krka, scoring 24 and 23 points, respectively. They combined for over half of the team’s total production. They did just it enough to outlast and outgun Cibona’s James Florence, who did his best to keep his team in the game with a game-high 28 points as well as handing out 10 assists. Krka currently leads the middle pack of the league at sixth place with their 6-5 record, while Cibona is still finding its footing at 12th place with their 4-7 slate.

Crvena Zvezda Telekom Beograd was able to secure a road win this round over KK Sutjeska Niksic. Red Star found just the right amount of offensive and defensive mix in the second and fourth quarters to take the win 62-70. The win came on the shoulders of Stefan Jovic, who finished with 19 points on some efficient shooting from both the field and the free throw line. The key factor in this win for Red Star was their effort on the glass. They were able to outrebound Sutjeska 34 to 19. The controlled the boards and with it the outcome of the game.
