ABA and UBC-TV announce TV Schedule

(New York, NY). UBC-TV Network, a Harlem NY-based broadcast multi-media company and the American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com has locked down the inaugural national broadcast schedule for ABA games on UBC-TV (www.ubctvnetwork.com) for the upcoming season.

The TV games will kickoff with the defending champion Jacksonville Giants hosting the runner-up South Carolina Warriors on December 8th. The broadcasts will air every Saturday night live on UBC-TV. There are currently 12 regular season games scheduled with the option for UBC-TV to add more. UBC-TV will also broadcast the ABA All Star Game, the playoffs and the championship game.

The games will be anchored by Bill Vargus, a two-time Emmy award winning sportscaster and Matt Waymire, who has worked for both Fox and NBC sports. Color commentary will take on a local flavor with each home team giving its home town commentator a chance to work alongside Vargus and Waymire.

Halftime will feature local and established performing artists which will make the ABA on UBC-TV complete entertainment package. There will also be a charity recognized at every game, a component that is close to ABA CEO Joe Newman’s heart. “There’s a lot of basketball on television,” stated Newman. “Our goal this season is to create something very special – more exciting, more interesting, more entertaining and more relevant than any other basketball. *Games could be changed depending Power Rankings. Games will air on Saturday night at 8PM EST.

UBC-TV is also preparing to promo its network in the Top 12 US markets shortly followed by its initial national rollout. UBC-TV’s “The UBC Mix Dance Show” is also preparing to have its national audiitions for dancers that will be featured in this hot new dance show later this fall.

    wish this league provides good service for the players. until now no european clubs were taking this league in consideration

    USA needed some extra basketball spice and NBA needed some competitor and naughty neibour.
