Anthony Grundy moves to Azad

Anthony Grundy (189 cm, North Carolina State’02) will continue his professional career with Azad University Tehran from Iran’s Superleague this 2013-14. The veteran guard is no stranger to Iran’s Superleague. In fact, the 34-year-old Grundy played there to start the 2012-13 season, suiting up for Mahrm Tehran.

Anthony then moved to Greece for a stint with Enosi Kalathosfairisis Kavalas (Greece-A1). He played a couple of games for them in the Balkan league and averaged 18.5 ppg and 6.0 apg. In the Greek A1 league he put up averages of 10.7 ppg and 3.9 apg in 10 games. In March 2013 the player transferred to Turkey’s TBL where he played for Hacettepe University. In eight games he posted averages of 13.6 ppg and 3.5 apg.
