Akeem Wright (200 cm, Kansas State’07) has agreed to terms on a deal that sends him up north to play for the Island Storm (Canada-NBL) this 2017. Akeem joins up with the Canadian team after starting the 2016-17 season playing in Europe for Cytavision Apoel Nicosia (Cyprus-Division A). He played a dozen games for them in the FIBA Europe Cup where he produced averages of 14.5 ppg and 5.0 rpg. Wright also appeared in a total of 17 games in the Cypriot league and there he averaged 13.2 ppg and 6.1 rpg.
