Rogier is a "product" of the basketballschool in Amsterdam originally where he played his enire career before turning professional. He is a natural combo-guard who can play both backcourt positions without any doubt. Intelligent basketball player with good fundamentals and overall technique. Rogier has excellent ballhandling skills and can beat his man off the dribble. Quick and creative passer. Has excellent range on his shot. Sees the right plays and has good basketball instincts. Did make a lot of progress under coach Ton Boot while being at Groningencat an early stage of his career. Was voted "Rookie of the Year" in 2004 in the Dutch First Division. Left MPC/Capitals at the Christmas-break of 2004 because of a lack of available playing time. Signed with OmniWorld/ Almere for the remainder of the 2004-2005 season. Was under contract with BG/Leuven in Belgium for the 2005-'06 season and did well as a back-up PG. Has lots of potential and upside left! Member of the Dutch National team since 2006. Also, played for all Dutch National youth teams as a youngster. Played in several European Cup competitions throughout his career. Has a lot of international experience without any doubt which he can use for the next quality step in his career. Won the Dutch League title 2011-'12 vs ZZ/Leiden (4-1) and was voted MVP of the Play-Off due to his "clutch-play" & leadership. Was also voted Guard & Domestic Player of the Year in the Dutch Basketball League and First Team All League!
