Phenomimal athlete which shows in many aspects of the game. Shuts down oponents defensively because of quickness, strength, and smarts. Two time Atlantic 10 all defensive team (2009 and 2010). Gets to the rim with strenghth and finishes confidently. Can also pull up at any time as well as keep the defense honest by shooting a good 3point percentage. Spent most of the 2010 summer with the New Jersey Nets who see future potential in Garrett. Garrett worked with Coach Matt Brady, one of the best shooting coaches in the U.S. and expects to shoot a very good percentage in the upcoming season. Was drafted in the 4th round (51st overall) by the Austin Toros in the 2010 NBDL draft. Did very well for himself at the Court Side Pro Camp in Las Vegas (July 12 & 13, '11)
